Learners will study and understand the Emergency Planning and Community Right to Know Act (EPCRA); understand the definition of the term “release" as specified under CERCLA, comprehend what is meant by used oil, other wastes, and universal waste; and the general purpose of the Land Disposal Restrictions (LDR) Program. Information about the equipment that must be maintained by small quantity generators (SQGs) and large quantity generators (LQGs) in case of emergencies and the dangers of mixing and/or storing incompatible wastes is also explained.
