RCRA Hazardous Waste Generator Refresher Training course is designed for individuals seeking training and recertification for work in compliance with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations 40 CFR Part 261 and 40 CFR Part 262 under the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) of 1976 for handling and management of hazardous waste.
The Hazardous Waste Generator Regulations enforced by the EPA ensure the proper identification and safe handling of hazardous waste to safeguard human health and the environment, while minimizing disruptions to regular business activities.
The EPA requires training for personnel engaged in hazardous waste management and handling operations to familiarize them with proper management and emergency procedures for the wastes handled at their facilities. Initial training must be provided to personnel within six months of employment or a change in job position. Retraining must be provided to personnel on an annual basis.
The RCRA Hazardous Waste Generator Refresher Training course is suitable for hazardous waste generators; supervisors; owners and operators of treatment, storage, and disposal facilities (TSDFs); hazardous waste contractors, environmental compliance specialists, and many others.
